Awaken your Giant Spirit

  1. See how it all began, from script to screen at Game of Thrones Studio Tour.
Created in official partnership with Warner Bros., the world’s first and only Game of Thrones Studio Tour has arrived in Northern Ireland.   Located at the authentic filming location of Linen Mill Studios in Banbridge, County Down, Game of Thrones Studio Tour invites you to experience the world of Game of Thrones like never before.

    2. 2 Jan 202528 Feb 2025
    3. 1 Mar 202530 Sep 2025
  2. The beech trees which originally led to the Georgian mansion near to Gracehill House
This beautiful avenue of beech trees was planted by the Stuart family in the eighteenth century and have become one of the most photographed natural phenomena in Northern Ireland. Thronies will recognise these as the Dark Hedges from HBO's Game of Thrones.
    1. Glass of Thrones stained glass window at the foot of Lagan Weir, Belfast. The window depicts various scenes involving House Baratheon in TV's Game of Thrones.

The spirit of Northern Ireland is evident in every season of Game of Thrones®, and a new element has been added to further enhance the experience for fans through the ancient art of stained glass.

    2. Experiences
Wherever you travel in Northern Ireland, you’re sure to experience a taste of our giant spirit, that intangible essence that makes us unique. So, we think it’s fair to say that without our stunning locations, Game of Thrones® may have lost some of its unique character and spirit.
    3. The ruins of Dunluce Castle perched on the side of a cliff. Beyond the ruins the sea and clear blue skies are visible

Northern Ireland’s breathtaking beauty is the real star of the show.  Here are some locations that steal the scenes in iconic film and TV productions.

    4. The Dark Hedges. Avenue lined with Beech trees

They said: “Winter is coming”. We were ready. In January 2016, Storm Gertrude wreaked havoc across Northern Ireland, felling iconic trees along the highway known to Game of Thrones® fans as the Kingsroad. But from the devastation of the Dark Hedges came a bright shining idea that showed our giant spirit to the world.
